Mom jeans and shapewear were two things I vowed never to have. Oh, and I can't forget the no minivan pledge. While I haven't caved and gotten the minivan or mom jeans yet, I admit I have discovered the wonderful world of shapewear.

The shapewear plunge really wasn't so scary. I've had 4 kids and put on at least 50 pounds with all of them. The weight doesn't come off over night and so I am perfectly fine with asking for a some temporary help. Or even better, something that will help me look slimmer today and actually help me become slimmer as I continue to use it.

I subscribe the theory that with each child, you kind of get a do-over. You get to start fresh and do things a little differently than you did last time around. That goes for clothes, gear, schedules, etc.

With all my kids, one of my least favorite things to do is get them in and out of their infant car seats. But I can't not use one so I am really glad I discovered the Bundle Me. It's like a sleeping bag you attach to your car seat or stroller and it makes it so easy to get baby out of the house. No need for a coat or blanket! That's a really big deal for me now that I have 4 kids. Even the smallest of trips is a giant chore so things need to be easy breezy.

For more than 35 years, the Children’s Art Project at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston has provided its pediatric cancer patients with the opportunity to create their own unique works of art. The children work with art instructors and volunteers to create their masterpiece, which is then featured on a wide variety of gift items including stationery, apparel, phone covers, umbrellas and more.

The best part—sale proceeds go right back to patients to fund summer camps, scholarships and educational opportunities. Since 1973, more than $27 million has been raised.

Summer vacation is finally here. I've got my kids scheduled in a bunch of camps and classes over the summer but we also will have a lot of down time. So I'm stocking the house and the yard with as many activities and projects I can think of to keep them busy, working together and keeping their creative juices running until they go back to school.

I obsess over dressing my kids. Soccer is getting a ton of attention here in Portland these days thanks to our new Major League Soccer team, the Timbers. While everyone and their dog seems to have season tickets, generally I'm off to local fields to watch my own little soccer stars in action.
