If you haven't visited Uncommon Goods before, you need to check them out. I'm always inspired there. Unique, fun and my go-to for gifts. Especially for my husband and son. I discovered them long before I began blogging and have shared their products many times since. Today I spotted Splyt.
The Splyt (pronounced SPLIT) is a modular, build-able lamp. It's expendable, customizable and can even be used as a chandelier. It was developed by makers Jason Krugman & Scott Leinweber, Inspired by the natural geometry of trees and coral and this modular lighting system lets you build your own luminous sculpture. Make sure to watch the video below to see how moldable and expansive Splyt can be. It's pretty amazing for a lamp.
When I first saw this, I thought it would be an adorable nursery lamp. Then I watched the video and, while it would still be adorable in a woodland or modern themed nursery, I would want this in my room or on my office desk. I love decor that can be interchangeable to grow out of the nursery and be used in multiple rooms.
As an impulse shopper myself, I try not to share products that are not yet available but the expected available date is this summer (end of August '16). The starts at $115 and expansion packs are available for $65 at Uncommon Goods.
