I've never had a bottle warmer or any sort of on-the-go system to warm up bottles. Since I have mainly nursed, I've made due with out one. A cool nursing cover was all I needed!

My latest baby, however, has made things a little harder since she refuses to breastfeed if there's anything going on around her. She fights her way out from under the nursing cover and cries reminding me that no one puts baby under the nursing cover. Nursing isn't usually an option in public unless I leave the room or go sit in the car.

So I was thrilled to check out a very new to the US product called yoomi. It's a self warming BPA-free bottle that you can "charge" in advance and then activate it when your ready for a warm bottle. It warms milk or formula to the same temperature as breast milk and is ready in 60 seconds.

We have a medium flow teet (a.k.a. nipple here in the US) which is a little fast for my baby right now (she's still a slow flow baby) but outside of that, we're pretty impressed with the yoomi bottle and the charging system. It's a nice little luxury to be able to warm a bottle wherever we are.

To charge it, you boil the warmer for 25 mins. To use it, you place the warmer in the bottle, press the button and wait 30 seconds. Then flip the bottle over, give it another 30 seconds then feed! Pretty simple. The formula/milk warms as it passes through the channels of the warmer and is designed to never overheat.

I love this bottle in two situations: One is when we are heading out for several hours and the other is at night when I am nursed out and too tired to head to the kitchen to make a bottle.

Since you boil the charger, it does takes a little prep and is not a last minute solution. But if you remember to charge your yoomi about 30 minutes before you head out, your set. The idea to me was a little cumbersome at first because I thought it would be more complicated! But it''s not and here you can see it in action...
