Despite being constantly made fun of by friends and family I continue to breastfeed and I am proud of it. Four months strong and many many more months to go. I need to go out and get a breastfeeding t-shirt because I am so proud. Nothing is more precious than a baby sleep eating on the boob at night. Keep it up ladies!

I always use a nursing coverup with my son when I have other children at my house that I watch. One of the little girls I watch said she wanted to feed my son the way I fed him. I told her that she could not. Her mommy explained to her that night how baby's were fed. She still didn't quite understand. A few days later, she asked if my son liked the milk that came from the stars. There are stars on the nursing coverup that I use. She's still got a little to learn, but I thought it was cute!

With my first child, my milk didn't come in for 5 or 6 days. He was a big baby and always wanted to nurse from the minute he came out. He was pretty frustrated that my milk hadn't come in yet and cried and cried to let me know how frustrated he was. He actually lost his voice. So he was crying but there really wasn't a sound. It was very strange, but at the same time very cute. As soon as my milk came in, he became very happy.

My daughter is 5 months old and I love bonding with her through breastfeeding. I only breastfed my other kids for 3 weeks and I'm pretty proud of myself for staying with it.

My daughter cracks me up, when she's hungry and I'm preparing to feed her, I lay a pillow in my lap to help and when I lay her down on the pillow she's already attacking me trying to latch on before I'm ready. It's so funny. And she is starting to stop in the middle of feeding, turns her head and looks at me and smiles and then goes back to eating. She does this several times during feeding, its like she's saying thanks mom. Its the cutest thing and just melts my heart.

My daughter had a terrible time latching on when I first tried breastfeeding. After a week and much internal struggle of if it was really worth the fight or not, she finally latched on and had no problem nursing after that. I'm so glad I stuck with it!

When my daughter was born, she was a natural nurser- she figured out how to latch on right away, and was eating great from the beginning. The nurses told me they wished my baby could give breastfeeding seminars to the other babies!

My lil man came out not doing too well, he's swallowed his maconium, had the cord around his neck and was jaundice. So needless to say, he didnt come out and want to eat right away. Actually he was taken to the nursery after he was stabilized. He didnt want to eat for the first day and the nurses were getting worried and took their turns telling me what I was doing wrong. He finally started to nurse after they'd left us alone for awhile. Guess he wanted privacy! smilies/wink.gif

Our first child was about a week old when my milk fully let down. We were at the store buying baby items and I didn't realize that I had started leaking until after I was in the checkout. I kept wondering why the cashier was staring at me so funny. On the way over to the little in-store cafe to meet my mom and grandmother I felt the wetness and looked down to see my shirt completely soaked around each breast! Just imagine the funny looks I received!!! I was so embarrassed. Thank goodness it was January and I had a jacket to cover up with! Then when I got home and was able to nurse, all that embarrassment just flew right out the window as soon as my sweet baby started nursing happily. Now I'm expecting our 4th and can't wait to nurse again!

I am a very modest person, but I wanted to breastfeed my daughter because I know that is what is best for her. Imagine my luck (and embarassment) when my daughter took right to breastfeeding and I was the talk of every nurse and doctor in the hospital about "what a good feeder" she is!

When my son and I first started breastfeeding it was very challenging. But now we look forward to our time together and as we gaze into each other's eyes we give a smile and he gently touches my cheek. It is such a sweet time together!

I'm now pregnant w/ our second, but a more memorable feed experience was when my son was a few months old and we went to our State Fair. It was time for him to eat, so I found a bench in the 4H building and covered him w/ the blanket as we always did in public. He ate fine, though he tried to uncover more than usual, but then right at the end he spit up all over me. Thankfully my sister was along w/ a decorative scarf, so I was able to cover things till they dried smilies/cheesy.gif

I am a first time mommy to a beautiful 3 1/2 month old boy. I've enjoyed breastfeeding thus far. My son is a happy boy and loves his daddy very much. Feedings are interrupted a lot when he hears daddy's voice! My son will look around smile, go back to eating, look around smile, and go back to eating. I love his smile so much! He's such a cutie!l

This would be great to win. I have a 4 month old son that I plan to breast-feed for his first year. I guess my semi-funny story is that my in-laws were over for an early Christmas--I'm talking the whole family. I didn't want to hide in his room and feed him, so I got my hooter hider and sat in the living room with them. He did not want to eat or there was some problem and he cried and made noise the whole time. I was so embarrassed, but he was all smiles when I took him out from under the cover. Silly boy!!

I've had ups and downs with breastfeeding, but even the downs (poison ivy all over my breasts!) can't stop me! I'm expecting our third, and planning to have a wonderful time breastfeeding. I'm looking forward to every second of time that our baby and I will spend together.

While beastfeeding my 6 week old daughter, she unlatched right in the middle of a let-down. The milk sprayed all over her face and hair. She blinked a couple times, and then had her first huge smile!

I am one of those lucky moms who flows with breastmilk. My friends would pump a few ounces a day while I would do about 30 oz. a day. I remember at my 6 week checkup post baby my doctor was examining me and I started leaking everywhere! She started laughing and said I was lucky and it is no big deal. I am sure they loved cleaning up the mess when I left! This product sounds awesome!

I am still nursing my 22-month-old and expecting her baby sister any day. I want to tandem nurse, so I thought it might be helpful to "nurse" my daughter's doll while she nursed before bed at night. I brought the doll up to my covered breast and pretended to nurse her. My daughter reached over and held her hand while they nursed together. It gave me a lot of hope that she will continue to have a positive breastfeeding experience once her sister arrives.

I am expecting my first in the next few weeks, honestly any day now. smilies/smiley.gif I can not wait to hold him and feel the bond that breastfeeding will bring. My mother breastfed and has told me so many wonderful stories about the closeness and the uniqueness of breastfeeding. I can't wait to share those stories myself. smilies/smiley.gif

This is a kinda silly story but at the moment it was hilarious!! I had just had my little girl and it was our second night at home. My twin boy's who were 4 at the time and were running wild while I was in the back trying to nurse the baby. I was completely out of it when they ran in and disturbed us...I yelled at them, " I need you two to go in there with your daddy I am trying to feed the dog!!!" My friend started laughing and then I realized what I had said and the crazy thing about it is we didn't even have a dog, we had never had a dog...Man I was out of it!! It was one of those you have to be there stories! I am expecting a baby boy this June and I wonder what my new story will be..hmmm

My twins' first intentional interaction with each other was while they were nursing. I had them on opposite sides of me on the nursing pillow each in the football hold. They were nursing away when one reached out and touched the other. Then they both looked at each other and kept staring at each other and holding hands the whole time.

My first child was born at 28 weeks she spent 6 weeks in the hospital and I had to use a breats pump alot in order to get breats milk cause she was born so early after about two months I dried up, now I am pregnant with my second child and I am hoping that he is born when expected and I am able to breastfeed longer cause of the awsome benefits it gives to the child.

I am a proud breastfeeding mom of one. It is my first time being a mom and am loving every minute of it. The funniest and most memorable time I've had breastfeeding was when my little baby girl was half asleep still during one of her night feedings. I was half asleep myself. All of a sudden, she accidentally latched off my breast in the middle of a let-down, causing milk to spray everywhere, especially all over her precious face. She laid their in my arms looking a bit shocked at first, then tasted the milk that had sprayed into her mouth, smacked her lips together, and gave me the hugest smile. We both started laughing. I will never forget that moment.

I am expecting my first and haven't had the chance to breastfeed yet, but am really looking forward to it. I remember watching my sisters-in-law breastfeed and that happy, bright-eyed look of the baby after feeding was priceless!

Breastfeeding my daughter is such an amazing experience, it truly helps you bond with your child. I think its important. I don't know if anyone has read about Salma Hayek breastfeeding a child in Africa, I think that was just wonderful of her.
