Coddlelife Borosilicate Glass & PP Baby Bottle

I just had a baby! OK, well I didn't technically have a baby but I'm a new Aunt so I embracing the new baby atmosphere just the same. And since my new little nephew is 100% bottle fed, I was so excited to check out the CPSIA compliant Coddlelife Laboratory Grade Borosilicate Glass Bottles and the PP (Polypropylene) Bottle with Peristaltic Anti-colic nipple. Glass just seems safer in these scary recall days and anti-colic doesn't sound so bad either!

The Coddlelife Polypropylene (pink one shown above) bottle features the Peristaltic nipple which has it's own little 'breathing tube' as I called it to help pull some of the air out of the bottle. The tube has a tiny slits at the bottom to redirect air up and out of the bottle & the nipple top is very soft/stretchy and has a textured lip base to stimulate baby's senses. The bottle has a nice chunky design that's very comfortable in your hand, is super light and of course are non-toxic, BPA, lead. PVC & Phthalates free. $6.99 (currently on sale for$5.59) @ Coddlelife.Com

The 8 oz Borosilicate Glass Bottle is lighter than I expected (never having held a glass baby bottle before). It has a very solid and sturdy feel that was still very comfortable when feeding the baby. What's up with borosilicate glass? Laboratories use this same kind of glass as well as the thermal insulation tiles in space shuttles (coated with borosilicate glass) due to it's superior strength, durability and ability to resist thermal shock. They're non-toxic, BPA, lead. PVC & Phthalates free. $8.26 @ Amazon.Com

Glass Baby Bottle Cover

The Coddlelife Silicone Bottle Wraps are the coolest thing. The colors are so vibrant and are such a hip cozy (way cooler and more hygienic than whatever grandma is knitting you) for the Borosilicate Glass Bottles. They help insulate the bottles, add a cushy feel for the bottles and help prevent against breakage. They are also microwave and dishwasher safe plus they have an opening along the side so you can see the contents of the bottle. Non-toxic, BPA, Lead. PVC & Phthalates free.  $4.99 @ Amazon.Com

Win This! Enter for your chance to win 1 of each of these (glass bottle, PP bottle & cover)! Enter by 1/31/2010. Open to US residents, 18 years and older; void where prohibited. To enter (you may do any of these):

Congrats Megan D!

Interesting thing on the coddlelife site: the nipples have venting!? that's pretty spiffy- technology is crazy!

Something interesting I learned: is that their nipples are designed to be longer, ensuring a wide latch, which helps to transition between breast and bottle.

I learned that the nipples are ideal for alternating between breast and bottle - just what I need!

I learned that the creator and owner of Coddlelife is a mother of three. It is so nice to discover that someone who knows and understands our needs is creating such great products for our little ones!
