If your suffering from (or are worried about) varicose veins, swollen feet, tired aching legs and a feeling of heaviness in the legs during pregnancy, you may be surprised to hear that some pantyhose may be helpful! I know I was when my doctor prescribed me support hose during the last few weeks my 3rd pregnancy. I had been suffering miserably with what I called crazy legs. Elvis legs, jumpy legs, restless leg syndrome or whatever they call it, if you get it it's one of the most annoying symptoms of pregnancy. While prescription hose (that I had seen my Grandma gloomily squeezing into) sounded even more miserable than I already felt, "Have the baby," was the other option. So I toughed it out until I had the baby. A non-prescription, more pantyhose like option would of been much more appealing!
Sigvaris's non-prescription support therapy hose is supportive and "provides relief from a range of common symptoms including tired, aching legs and swollen feet and ankles." Not like the squeeze-in-your-fat type of support but the promote leg health and relief kind! While I am currently (knock on wood) not pregnant and my experience with them is for my residual and mild crazy legs, they look, wear and feel very much like regular pantyhose but maintain a firm supportive feeling all day.
