As a child I remember how envious I was of my best friend each year around Christmas. Not because of the mounds of presents she would receive but because of her family's yearly tradition of seeing The Nutcracker. The whole family would wear their prettiest dresses like they were going to a ball! As a 6 year old girl who loved ballet and puffy dresses, it seemed even more magical than Disneyland!
