I've been on a shopping rampage lately and have discovered tons of amazing handmade treasures at one of my favorite online shopping destinations... Etsy. While I am mostly shopping for my newborn little girl, I always keep my eyes out for fun and special goodies for boys.

Who's A Messy Little Man?
Tagged in: feeding, etsy, clothes, boys, accessories | CommentsThe other day my son asked me if he could get an outfit like daddy. He was referring to the suit and tie hubby was sporting for work. This was coming from a kid who who would go to school with out pants if I would let him. I was floored!
This got me hunting for neck ties for kids and stumbled upon these adorable necktie bibs from LuBirdBaby on Etsy. The name was very familiar and turns out I had just bought some hip little burp rags from LuBirdBaby which are absolutely adorable. So it was no surprise to see whey these caught my eye. I was of course totally distracted from my hunt for necktie items for a 7 year old, but distraction is the glory of Etsy!

Soft Tees For Tough Boys {Hot Deal Alert}
Tagged in: review, deals, clothes, boys | CommentsI have always felt a little guilty clothes shopping for my 7 year old son. Compared to the girls, it's almost too easy. A few pairs of jeans, a handful of tees and some more socks. I still want to give the kid some sort of style while he just wants to be cool and comfortable.

Hallelujah! After weeks and weeks of heavy rain and cloudy skies, this NW mama can finally OK the short sleeves and go a day with out saying, "Put on your sweatshirt!"
What better way to celebrate than to shop. While hunting for some cool t-shirts for boys, I stumbled across and got a good giggle out of these funny toddler+ T's from the Dogwood Clothing Company. The designs are familiar sayings (or thoughts) that speak for themselves. Now I can just say, "I know, your t-shirt already said that!"

It's A Turtle. It's A Backpack. It's A Jacket!
Tagged in: travel, review, clothes, boys | CommentsKids large and small love things that transform. Cars that transform into action figures, houses that transform into cars, action figures that transform into animals, etc. Not only do us parents love the entertainment the process brings, but also the value of getting 2 or 3 extra things out of one item. Fun and added value! So a delightful snugly pet that can also be a warm hooded coat is just the ticked for chilly days and boring nights.
While little ones may need a little help getting this morphing coat going, their eager little fingers will love the friend that they create. The T-Jack (turtle shown here) line from Convertible Designs are stuffed toys that can double as a backpack or transform into a fully insulated jacket (or vice versa). It's fairly simple to transform. You just zip on the separate belly piece (which has a large zipped pocked and arm straps so it can be used as a backpack) and stuff in the jacket as you go. It makes a really cozy coat or a fun stuffed little buddy. Sized for pre-school aged kids (2-5), they're machine washable and constructed from water-resistant nylon/polyester with poly fill and quilted lining.
