We've Got Big Love For The Tinylove Gymini® Move & Play
Tagged in: tummy time, toys, review, gear | Comments
Ah, floor time! Not only is it Uber important for baby's development, it gives mommy's arms a nice break. While my on-the-verge-of-walking 9 month old is now too mobile for our Tinylove Gymini® Move & Play, I will always remember our good times {insert bittersweet wave goodbye here} fondly. I had a hard time getting her out of my tired arms for tummy time when she was really little so this super playful mat was a godsend and grabbed her attention fast.

Toygaroo: Play, Learn, Laugh Then send it back! {$299 Win It!}
Tagged in: toys, review, giveaway | Comments
Sadly, as my kids get older the honeymoon period of new toys seems to get shorter. Buying them new toys all the time can get really expensive and ultimately just become another thing collecting dust or getting thrown on the floor. I've tried toy swaps with friends but that caused the problem of the kids being resentful of seeing their toys at someone else's house, no matter how neglected the toy had been.
Toygaroo, has a great solution for this constant need for new toys as well as toy neglect... send it back.

The first time I saw Sophie The Giraffe it was, and still is, topping the baby bestsellers list on Amazon. I was amazed that this little toy was so popular and that I hadn't seen it before. Shortly after this I realized I was seeing Sophie everywhere and actually had been for quite a while!

Stuff The Stuffed Animals (Part 3)
Tagged in: toys, organization | Comments
Looking for stuffed animal or toy storage that is a little more subtle? While I love decorative storage, something that blends into the surroundings or lets it's cleaned up contents be the decoration (like a well organized book shelf) is the ticket!
Check out Jaimie's solution from PrudentBaby.Com. I love how this large white wire bin/basket (from Crate & Barrel) keeps the toys visible yet nicely contained. It's really cute and a perfect way to keep stuffed toys tidy yet not totally out of site (a.k.a forgotten). Read the whole story behind this fab find...

Stuff The Stuffed Animals (Part 2)
Tagged in: toys, roundup, organization | CommentsTo continue our quest to organize the stuffed animals we're taking a little trip to my happy place, IKEA! Now if you're not familiar with Ikea, then make sure you check out the Ikea parody video at the end of this post or plan a visit if there's one in your area. Before Ikea *finally* opened up in Portland, I drove the 3 1/2 hours to the Seattle Ikea with out thinking twice. The huge warehouse of food, furnishings and fixtures offers modern Swedish designs at amazingly affordable prices.
Here we are looking at the (say this out loud with me, folks) PS FÅNGST. These are a 6 compartment mesh storage bags that can hang in your closet or be jimmied up anywhere in the room if you're creative. Available in 3 colors and for under $5 each!

Mushrooms: New Trend In Kid & Nursery Decor
Tagged in: walls, trends, toys, roundup, pretend play, nursery, furniture, decor, art | Comments
You'd never really think that a fungus could be a fun way to decorate. But cute little mushrooms are popping up in kids rooms and nurseries like fungus. Maybe it's the next nostalgic revival item from our youth (don't deny it, your parents had a macrame owl in the hallway). This mini trend is a great counterpart to owl or forest themed nurseries.

WorryWoos: Find Your Inner Woo {Win It}
Tagged in: toys, review, giveaway, books | Comments
I love children's books that strike a chord and even as a grown up can be relatable. It's always nice to read books that sparks up insightful chit chats about what you just read and how it relates to our everyday lives. Like the WorryWoo Monster series from Andi Green. The WorryWoo Monster books deal with loneliness, insecurity, confusion and being scared. Emotions, young and old, we all struggle with sometimes.
