Does Your Baby Lick The Handles Of Shopping Cart & High Chairs?
Tagged in: travel, roundup, review, feeding, etsy, accessories | CommentsMine does. It's very peculiar behavior but I guess it's something that baby's do. Licking handles. It's so odd. Funny thing is... I didn't have a problem with my first three kids gnawing on shopping carts. Maybe I carried or wore them more when I went shopping because it wasn't until recently, with baby #4, that I needed a shopping cart cover. Of course, it had to be modern, hip and not something that Grandma knitted or whipped up with leftover fabric scraps (she likes to do that).
I picked up, for a steal, the Numbers Cloud Cover (top photo above) by Infantino on Zulily a while back ($29.98 @ Amazon) and it's been great. It's puffy, cozy and covers everywhere Hadley could reach. Doubling as a high chair cover is also very cool. Yes my baby licks high chairs too. Good golly, doesn't she watch the news and reports on high chair germs? Yuck.

Tagged in: travel, sleeping, review | Comments
I haven't been able to conquer crib sleeping just yet. That's mostly because the crib located in the guest bedroom which as seen a lot of activity since my baby was born. Our parade of family and friends has supposedly come to end and so I am excited to now start working on getting my 7 month old Hadley sleeping in her crib. I need to get more than 2 hours of sleep at a time and so it's beyond time.
When it comes to sleep, I'm willing to try anything.

Spruce Up That Hand Me Down Car Seat
Tagged in: travel, roundup, gear, accessories | CommentsWho says beggars can't be choosers? Just because you are using borrowed, the wrong color or hand-me-down baby gear doesn't mean you can't express your own style or change up the color scheme. With infant car seats ranging anywhere from $60 - $250+, if don't have to buy one but need a change, that's your budget for a new infant car seat cover! (Yes, I can justify any purchase).
Pictured above: Baby Bella Maya Infant Car Seat Covers - compatible with most major brands of car seats, including: Graco Snugride, Peg Perego and similar infant car seats ($60 - $80).

Petunia Pickle Bottom Spring 2011: Organic Sashay Satchel
Tagged in: travel, diaper bags | CommentsIt's exciting to see that Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags are still one of the most coveted diaper bag lines around. 8 years ago when I bought my first diaper bag, it had to be a Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack. At the time, the company was still fairly new. With all the other gear I had to buy, it seemed so expensive and there weren't any discounts for this sought after and not widely available bag. Didn't matter though. They were so unique, practical and adorable that that didn't stop me and it turned out to be a great diaper bag that I got every penny out of (reselling it on Ebay didn't hurt).

The Zooper To-Go High Chair: You Can Take It With You {Win It}
Tagged in: travel, review, giveaway, gear, furniture, feeding | CommentsHigh chairs are not an easy item to hide, let someone borrow or take with you anywhere. I felt like quite the silly nilly recently when I was wheeling a neighbors high chair up the street to my house. It was too big to carry and very cumbersome to get up my many porch steps. It wasn't an easy exchange but I had to have one for a visit from my 6 month old nephew. I managed but oh, the things us aunties do!
Of course just day's after the end of the visit arrived what would of been a perfect solution to my temporary need for a high chair. Zooper (a brand that I know and love since my first high chair and stroller were both Zooper's) sent over a full size yet portable high chair to check out and, yes of course, I'm giving it to a lucky reader (read on for contest details).

It's A Turtle. It's A Backpack. It's A Jacket!
Tagged in: travel, review, clothes, boys | CommentsKids large and small love things that transform. Cars that transform into action figures, houses that transform into cars, action figures that transform into animals, etc. Not only do us parents love the entertainment the process brings, but also the value of getting 2 or 3 extra things out of one item. Fun and added value! So a delightful snugly pet that can also be a warm hooded coat is just the ticked for chilly days and boring nights.
While little ones may need a little help getting this morphing coat going, their eager little fingers will love the friend that they create. The T-Jack (turtle shown here) line from Convertible Designs are stuffed toys that can double as a backpack or transform into a fully insulated jacket (or vice versa). It's fairly simple to transform. You just zip on the separate belly piece (which has a large zipped pocked and arm straps so it can be used as a backpack) and stuff in the jacket as you go. It makes a really cozy coat or a fun stuffed little buddy. Sized for pre-school aged kids (2-5), they're machine washable and constructed from water-resistant nylon/polyester with poly fill and quilted lining.

A request for SpaghettiO's® packed in my first graders lunch has again got me shopping outside the lunch box. It was one of the first lucid requests for a long time. The last few have been amusing.. Bigtop Cupcake, a whole package of pepperoni and Taco Bell. (Hmmm)

The twist-on/off lid, decorated by Portland artist Matte Stephens, is said to be spill proof so just what the lunch lady ordered. Dishwasher and microwave safe + it's BPA free! $16.50 @ Delight.Com
