It is a special moment when you can let your child have something grown up.  Something that says, "I'm Not A Baby Anymore" and "Mommy, I am just like you!" Especially when it is something familiar. I have a strange obsessions with small chairs.  My kids each have a personalized little chair for themselves and my only collection of nick-knacks (nick-knacks and tchotchke lead to more dusting which leaves less time to blog) are my collection of mid-century modern miniature chairs.  If I would have my way (or enough space), their would be mini pieces of furniture for the kids in each room of the house.  A mini coffee table, mini couches, mini patio furniture, mini doors for each of the kids room... just like would of liked it as a kid.
